Juntos Annual Evaluation

Overview

Juntos is a program ran by NC State that focuses on promoting higher education to Hispanic-American populations around North Carolina. During my time at DASA MarComm, I was in charge of yearly updates to the old layout, and for my capstone project I was in charge of redesigning the report from the ground up.

Goals

One main request from the client was for this iteration of the report to be easily editable from a designer and nondesigner standpoint. With that my approach to this project was, “How do I create a sandbox for whoever needs to work on this moving forward?”

What you’ll notice is a sense of airyness in the design of these pages. This was intentional as a way to leave room for additional information potentionally added in future edtions.

Counties

The largest part of this report is the counties section. Here is where data from the participating counties appears. It is by far the most templatized section of the report due to the nature of this new “template report”.

Back of Green.

The back of book is was the largest change to this years edition. Once being very meaty and large, this section was condensed to one page and a back cover.

What you’ll notice here is a lack of real information for most of the county pages. With the entire report being a large template, I did not wait on final copy of each county, instead leaving that to the Juntos team to fill out on their own time to spead up the design process.

Front of Green

Instead of defining sections of this report in typical editoiral design language I had my own way of refering to the different sections. For example, the “front of book” is refered to the green section, because it’s all green.
