TESTEDHQ

Overview

TestedHQ specializes in end-user product testing for products found in the manual labor workforce. These product tests are reviewed mainly through their mobile online portal experience, which was in need of a major visual and user experience refresh.

Task

I was tasked with undertaking the major changes and improvements needed to elevate the mobile experience, while also working within the TESTEDHQ brand. My main goal was to create communication between users while enhancing the overal usability of the product.

Current Experience

Users often felt that the site felt cluttered while being claustrophobic. The hamburger menu also wasn’t well recieved and users often got lost within the site. While surveying the site I noticed an overall inconsistency in image and type treatment that often led to confusion in what certain tasks revolved around.

Style Tile

The first step in refreshing the feel and look of the mobile experience was creating a style tile to understand where the that look and feel should go. This allowed for me to create multiple styles quickly and effectively to find the best solution for the probelm.

Revamped Dashboard

Removing the hamburger menu previouslly used was a main piority for my redesign, instead I opted for a horizontal scroll which was found easy for new and returning users to use.

The landing home page was also revamped to feature community insights such as trending reviews and projects. This was done to create a sense of network among users in the community.

Clearer Task Navigation

Final Product

The site lacked any sort of filtering in the original version, to fix this I created a filtering system that sorted projects based on their working status.

Another major change was adding consistent imagery that featured the products or tools in the tasks. While many users may be familiar with tools by generic names, they might not be familiar with brand names. Adding images of the product in use allows for users to connect the task to the tool.
